Design & Development Engineers (m/f/div)

We are looking for a Design & Development Engineers to join our R&D center that will be providing engineering support in all aspects of design and ensure achievement of project objectives.

We are looking for a Design & Development Engineers to join our R&D center that will be providing engineering support in all aspects of design and ensure achievement of project objectives.

Responsibilities
•   Provide design and engineering support on R&D projects
•   May take overall responsibility during product development/product optimization projects;
•   For specific component, or subassembly, complete concept design;
•   Build and test prototypes and develop test protocol and plans;
•   Participate in review meetings with all functional groups, preproduction’s and design reviews;
•   Interface with other functional groups regarding testing, purchasing, marketing, and manufacturing activities;
•   Take responsibility for coordinating release of preliminary prints in a manner (accuracy, completeness, and timeless);
•   Take responsibility for design including test methods, reliability and risk assessment;
•   Support the new product introduction team throughout the project duration;
•   Provide sustaining engineering support to existing products helping on-going cost reduction and product improvement;
•   Ensure that all engineering changes are according to the quality system, safety and quality standards.
Qualifications (education, experience and skills):
•   Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3-year experience in product design / product optimization;
•   Experience working with Engineering Change process and manufacturing Bill of Material system;
•   Ability to use CAD to do layouts and detail drawings enough to build prototypes and convey design concepts to other functional departments;
•   Solid Modeling experience required (Solidworks preferred);
•   Must have thorough knowledge of mechanical drafting, dimensioning and tolerancing methods;
•   Experience designing and analyzing components and subassemblies;
•   Good PC-User knowledge including Windows applications (Outlook/Word/Excel/Power Point);
•   Proven attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines;
•   Team and effective communication skills;
•   Fluent English (verbal and written).
